Spotted Trend: Denim shorts

Even though this outfits are more appropriate for summer and not for Winter, since there are a lot of legs showing. You can wear denim shorts with some tights or with some over the knee socks and a few layers on top and you will be ready to go. I also like wearing denim with denim, although it has to be well styled or it doesn't  look so good.

A Matter of Elegance by Scott Schuman

This is an Vogue Italy editorial photographed by Scott Schuman. As you probably may have noticed by now I adore his work and I admire him so very much.
I personally think this was a very well made photo shot. The hair and make up, the styling and the photography are so well put together. Each outfit is so classy and trendy. Finally, the models aren't really models. They are actually socialites, which means they aren't really playing a part, they are really being themselves. The photography was inspired by the kind of photographs that Scott takes of 'ordinary' people on the streets that aren't really aware that photos of them are being taken.

'City Girl' by Santiago Ruisenor for Elle Mexico October 2011

This editorial for Elle Mexico blew my mind away. The girl the model Jessica Marie represents is the girl I wanna be one day. A successful girl working in fashion on the Big Apple. (A girl can dream, can't she?)
The clothes and the way they are put together make a lot of ultra chic and powerful looks. Moreover, the background is New York City, and do you know a better location for this photoshot? I'm betting you don't.

Spotted Trend: Glitter

Sparkle has been everywhere: on jackets, dresses, tops, shoes and in so many other items It's up to anyone and everyone who likes this trend to choose. Glitter-finish shoes remind me of Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and how they make you dream and go somewhere fantastical.

Photos Sources

On this last month I saw a lot of photos of Fashion Week taken by bloggers and professional photographers. While doing so I saved a lot of them on my computer for inspiration and some will be used on my blog. However, I don't remember the source of every single one individually. So, so that you can have an idea from where I got them, here is the webography of the future posts which I will link back to this one.

Interview with Scott Schuman

Here is the link to an interview with Scott Schuman by Imran Amed for Business of Fashion magazine. He talked about blogging and how he begun earning money by doing so. It's very interesting and it's great to get to know a bit more the man behind The Sartorialist.
