Trends Fall/Winter 2010/2011

Este Outono/Inverno as roupas foram feitas para nos manterem quentes. Os tecidos variam, principalmente, entre malhas, pêlos e peles. Os cortes das peças são inspiradas nas décadas de 50, 70, no minimalismo dos anos 90 e nas fardas dos aviadores. O camel e cores neutras como o preto, o cinzento e o branco são cores presentes em quase todas as colecções. No entanto, para alegrar os outfits, são utilizadas peças com cores quentes (vermelho, laranja), cores frias (azul, verde, roxo), padrão leopardo ou toques metálicos.

This Fall/Winter, cloths were made to keep us warm. The materials vary, mainly, between wool, fur and leather. The 50s, 70s, the minimalism of the 90s and the aviators’ customs were the inspirations of most of the designers. In all the collections, camel and neutrals like black, grey and white were the pallets of colours used. Nevertheless, warm colours such us red and orange, cold colours like blue, green and purple, leopard patterns or metallic touches were used to lighten up the outfits.

O sobretudo é uma peça muito utilizada nesta época, principalmente pelas pessoas que passam muito tempo no exterior, por isso esta temporada usam-se com tecidos extremamente quentes e aconchegantes.

Overcoats are a very useful item this time of the year, mainly by people who spend a lot of time in the exterior, so designers used extremely thick and cozy fabrics this season.

As camisolas de gola alta é um básico muito visto nas passerelles.
The turtleneck sweater is a basic that was seen a lot on the runways.

Assim como as camisolas pouco decotadas e com decote redondo.
As well as the sweaters with no cleavage and round neckline.

Um cardigã pode ser usado, em vez, ou por cima, das camisolas e por cima de calsas ou até vestidos.

A cardigan can be worn, instead or over, a jumper and over everything, from dresses to shirts.

Neste Outono/ Inverno as calças adquirem várias formas, desde as que afunilam nos tornozelos, às que são à boca-de-sino, passando pelas justas ou mesmo leggins.
This Autum/Winter, trousers acquire different shapes. From the ones that are tighter on the ankles to the boot-cut trousers, and don’t forget the skinny ones and even the leggings.

As Saias usam-se de cinta subida e rodadas ou justas ao corpo. Quando são rodadas, têm pormenores como folhos ou pregas.
Skirts are hight-waisted and can have whether an A-line or body-conscious shape. When they are A-line they have pleats or ruffles.

Este Inverno, os calções são de cinta subida realçando a nossa cintura.
Thist season shorts are hight-waisted so that your waist line is accentuated and you look curvier.

Os vestidos desta temporada são inspirados nos anos 50 tendo a cintura muito marcada. As silhuetas variam entre a parte de baixo em forma de A ou justas. Em todos os casos, os vestidos complementam o corpo da mulher, mostrando ou criando uma forma ampulheta. Também se vêem muito, minivestidos e vestidos-camisola que são mais jovens e casuais.
Dresses are inspired by the 50s and the waist is accentuated. The silluetes are tight on top and on the bottom they can be A-line or tight. In all cases, the dresses were made to complement the women body, showing or even creating an hourglass figure. Tight mini-dresses and jumper-dresses are also a trend, they are however more youthful.

Em algumas passereles reparei nos jumpsuits (também uma tendência da Primavera/Verão 2010) na sua maioria com tecidos espessos.
On the runways I couldn’t stop noticing some jumpsuits, also a SS2010 trend. However, this season their fabrics are thicker.

As camisas vão ser um must, sendo usadas abotoadas até ao pescoço, ou mais decotadas, com um laço na gola. Os tecidos variam entre os transparentes e os mais opacos.
Shirts and blouses are definitely going to be a very used item on your closet. When using a shirt you can button it up like on the runways. The blouses must have a bow. The fabrics can be very see-through or opacos.

Para manterem os nossos pés quentinhos, quando o tempo frio chegar, muitos designers desenharam para a sua colecção botas de cano alto com pêlos por fora e por dentro. Como no ano passado, as botas justas acima do joelho, vão ser muito usadas. Os botins vão ser algo que não deves deixar de ter no teu armário . Quer seja bota ou sapato, os atacadores vão estar sempre presentes.
In order to keep us warm during those cold days, this season knee-high boots were design with fur inside and/or out. Like last year over the knee boots, are going to be very used. Finaly, ankle boots are a must. But no matter the size or shape of the shoes, laces are a must.

Em relação aos stilletos, usam-se bicudos, inspirados nos anos 50. O seu tacão varia entre os altos e os baixos.
This Fall/Winter Stilettos are inspired by the 50s, so they are pointy. The heels can be very high or kitten-heels.
